Teething is a natural and necessary process that all infants go through as their first set of teeth, known as primary teeth, emerge through their gums. Although a routine part of child development, teething can cause significant discomfort, resulting in restlessness, irritability, and other changes in behaviour.

Teething is caused by the normal process of primary teeth emerging through the gums, usually starting around 6 months of age.
Age: Teething generally starts between 4 and 7 months of age.
